Introduction
The Japan Karate Association (JKA) is the world’s largest and most prestigious Shotokan Karate organization, with branches across the globe. In Pakistan, particularly in the Punjab region, the JKA was formally introduced under the leadership of Sensei Muzammal Ahmed black belt 6th international judge and referee
His vision was to bring authentic JKA Karate training and international-level standards to Pakistan.
Journey of Sensei Muzammal Ahmed
Sensei Muzammal Ahmed received his JKAWF training in the United Kingdom.
He was a direct student of Sensei G. Breeze (8th Dan, Finance Secretary of the Karate Union of Great Britain – KUGB), one of the most respected karate masters in Europe. Other Japanese instructor Abe sensei,Asai sensei,Enoda sensei,Otha sensei
Under Sensei Breeze’s guidance, Muzammal Ahmed refined his JKA Karate skills to international standards.
Establishment of JKA Punjab, Pakistan
In 2014, Sensei Muzammal Ahmed moved from the UK to Pakistan.
On 15 April 2014, the Japan Karate Association, Punjab, Pakistan was officially founded under supervision shihan Shiina 8th Dan Technical Director Japan karate Association world headquarters Tokyo Japan
This date is recognized as the “birthday” of JKA Punjab Pakistan.
Growth and Development
Since its foundation, JKA Punjab has organized training camps, belt examinations, and championships across Punjab.
Through his UK background and strong link with KUGB, Sensei Muzammal Ahmed introduced international-standard Karate training to Pakistani athletes.
Several dojos were established across different cities of Punjab, providing both basic and advanced levels of training.
Contribution of Key Figures
The foundation and growth of JKA Punjab Pakistan were strongly influenced by the mentorship of Shihan Shiina 8th Dan Technical Director Japan karate Association Tokyo Japan
Alongside him, many local instructors and students joined hands with Sensei Muzammal Ahmed to spread JKA Karate throughout the region.
